Resumory App Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Resumory mobile application on iOS and Android (the "App") and any related services we provide through the App (collectively, the "Services").

If you use the Resumory website at resumory.com, different terms may apply. These Terms apply specifically to the App.

1. Who We Are

The App is operated by Resumory ("Resumory", "we", "us", or "our"), published by Gautier Colasse (sole proprietor based in France, SIRET 831 668 207 00044).

2. Eligibility

You may use the App only if you are legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Accounts

You may need an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account secure.

We support Sign in with Apple and email/password. Other sign-in methods may be shown in the App but may not be available in all regions or versions.

4. The Services (Including AI Features)

Resumory helps you create and edit resumes and cover letters, including with AI-powered features such as:

AI features may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate outputs. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any content before using it (including submitting it to employers or third parties). Resumory does not guarantee that AI outputs will be correct, complete, or suitable for your situation.

Resumory is a writing and editing tool. We do not provide recruitment, hiring, legal, or career advice, and we do not guarantee any outcome (including interviews, offers, employment, or any other decision made by recruiters, employers, or other third parties).

5. Your Content

5.1 Ownership

As between you and Resumory, you own the content you create or upload in the App (such as your resume and cover letter content) ("User Content"), subject to the rights granted below.

5.2 License to Operate the Services

You grant Resumory a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, and transmit your User Content solely to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services (including syncing your documents across devices, and processing your content through AI features if you enable them and consent where required).

5.3 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload or generate content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, infringes third-party rights, or violates applicable laws and regulations.

Some features may require you to provide legal consents in the App, including acceptance of:

If required consent is missing or outdated, access to some or all of the App may be restricted until you update your consents.

7. Subscriptions, Billing, and Free vs. Premium

Resumory may offer free and premium features, including subscriptions that unlock additional entitlements ("Premium").

7.1 App Store / Google Play Billing

If you purchase a subscription in the App, payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and are subject to their terms and policies. Subscription management (including cancellation) is handled through your Apple or Google account settings.

7.2 Entitlements Provider

We may use third-party services (such as Superwall) to manage paywalls, entitlements, and billing event notifications.

7.3 Cancellation and Deleting Your Account

Deleting your Resumory account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel through the App Store or Google Play to avoid renewal charges.

7.4 Refunds

Refund eligibility and processing are handled according to Apple’s and Google’s refund policies.

The App may integrate third-party services (for example AI providers, hosting providers, and billing/entitlements providers). Your use of those third-party services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside of our control.

10. Availability, Changes, and Discontinuation

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, including features, plans, and availability, subject to applicable law.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESUMORY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, RESUMORY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT YOUR RESUME, COVER LETTER, OR OTHER DOCUMENTS (INCLUDING ANY AI-GENERATED OR AI-REWRITTEN CONTENT) WILL BE ERROR-FREE, COMPLETE, OR ACCEPTED BY ANY RECIPIENT, OR THAT USING THE SERVICES WILL LEAD TO ANY PARTICULAR OUTCOME.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESUMORY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESUMORY WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY RECRUITMENT, SCREENING, HIRING, OR EMPLOYMENT DECISION, OR ANY DISPUTE BETWEEN YOU AND A THIRD PARTY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR YOUR DOCUMENTS.

IN NO EVENT WILL RESUMORY’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO RESUMORY FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR, IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID, USD $10), TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms or if required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your country of residence.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we may provide notice in the App or via other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
