This Privacy Policy explains how Resumory ("Resumory", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Resumory mobile application on iOS and Android (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Services").
If you use the Resumory website at resumory.com, a different privacy policy may apply. This Policy applies specifically to the App.
1. Who Is Responsible for Your Data

2. Information We Collect

We process the content you create, upload, or edit in the App, including:
- Resume and cover letter content (including structured data such as JSON payloads)
- Document metadata (timestamps, status, deletion markers)
2.3 AI Inputs and Outputs (If You Use AI Features)
If you use AI features, we may process:
- Text you submit for rewriting or generation
- Context you provide to improve rewrite suggestions or cover letter generation
- Audio recordings you choose to provide for transcription (for example base64-encoded audio, mime type, and language)
- AI outputs generated for you
2.4 Subscription and Entitlements
If you purchase Premium, we may process:
- Entitlement status (e.g., premium active/inactive)
- Billing-related events received from billing/entitlements providers (for example webhook events)
2.5 Security, Anti-Abuse, and Usage Data
To protect the Services and enforce usage limits (including AI quotas and rate limits), we may process:
- Usage counters (e.g., AI usage)
- Rate limiting signals
- IP address (typically processed server-side for security and abuse prevention)
2.6 Support Communications
If you contact support, we may receive and process:
- The content of your messages
- Identifiers you provide (for example userId and platform) to help us troubleshoot
2.7 Device Permissions (Optional)
Depending on your device and your choices, the App may request permission to access:
- Microphone (for AI dictation / speech-to-text)
- Photos / media library (to import or export images you choose, such as profile photos or signatures)
We only access these features if you grant permission, and you can manage permissions in your device settings.

We use information to:
- Provide and operate the Services (including account management and document syncing)
- Create, edit, and export your documents
- Provide AI features (where enabled and with required consent)
- Manage subscriptions and entitlements
- Maintain security, prevent fraud/abuse, enforce quotas, and debug issues
- Provide customer support
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

Depending on your location, we rely on one or more legal bases, including:

- Supabase (authentication, database, and backend functions)
- OpenAI (AI processing such as speech-to-text, rewriting, and generation, if you use AI features)
- Superwall (paywalls, entitlements, and billing event notifications)
- Apple and Google (app distribution and in-app billing processing, where applicable)
We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition), subject to applicable law.
6. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers (such as standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms recognized under applicable law).

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate and essential business purposes, such as complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.
Retention can vary by data type:
- Account data: retained while your account is active, and for a reasonable period after deletion requests where necessary for security, legal, or operational reasons
- Documents: retained until you delete them (and for a limited period thereafter in backups and logs)
- Security logs and abuse-prevention data (including IP-related logs): retained for a limited period to maintain security and enforce quotas
